Wednesday Programming

We are very excited to be back to in-person services for students, and we cannot wait to see what God is going to do in the lives of students across our community this fall.

WHAT ARE THE BASIC DETAILS?

  • Launch Date:   Wednesday, Sept 16, 20
  • Time:   6:30-8p
  • Location:   the Warehouse @ West Rome
  • For:   All 7th-12th grade students

WHAT IS THE FORMAT GOING TO LOOK LIKE?

We believe that the learning and community that happens in small groups is vital to the life of every student.  Because we will not be offering Life Groups for students on Sunday mornings until 2021, we are adapting our format on Wednesday nights to include small groups along with the worship service.

All Wednesday small groups will be divided by Grade & Gender much like our normal Life Group format, but with one small adjustment.  Rather than having groups that consist of students from a single grade we will have four major groups - MS Girls, MS Boys, HS Girls, HS Guys.  Inside each of these larger groups smaller discussion groups of mixed grades will gather with adult leaders for discussion and study.

In addition to adding small groups to Wednesday nights, we will also be providing separate worship services for the Middle School and High School students.  While one group is in their worship service the other group will be in their group time - then the two groups will flip-flop.

While this format presents some unique logistical challenges it provides some incredible benefits...

  • We will be able to better provide age specific teaching and experiences
  • We will be able to provide social distance seating for more students
  • Students will have the chance to worship together in service and still get time to connect and grow together in their small groups

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT?

As we return to in-person services, safety is #1 priority.  Here is what we are doing to provide the safest experience possible.

  • All leaders & volunteers will be required to wear a mask
  • We are requesting that all students wear a mask - masks will be available at all entrances
  • We are providing social distance seating for worship services and groups
  • All surfaces will be cleaned between services and groups
  • All restrooms will be cleaned between services and groups

In addition to these guidelines we are asking all students to please stay home if they are not feeling well, even if they are fairly confident that they do not have COVID.
