Kids Ministry at West Rome

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  In an effort to keep you and your family safe in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, West Rome will not be hosting in-person Kids Ministry activities until further notice.

While you take part in a Life Group or one of our worship services, our Kids Team is busy teaching your children about God on a level they can fully understand.  Security is one of our top priorities. For this reason our check-in procedure takes a little time to get your family set up the first time. We use a computer data system for check-in that will print your child's name tag as well as a security tag that is required for pick up purposes. If you are coming as a first time guest you will be greeted and taken care of in our Welcome Center located in the main church building. Our greeters will help you get signed in and take you to your child's classroom. Your continued attendance from that point on is a quick and easy process!

Our preschool team works hard to provide a safe and fun environment

Kids are led by trained volunteers and meet in age-appropriate classrooms. Our team members are sensitive to age-based needs and strive to teach even the smallest of kids the truths about Jesus.

West Rome Kids is a children’s ministry uniquely designed with your child in mind! Kids, first through fourth grade, experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!

At 9:00am, kids take part in a large-group involving age-appropriate worship, activities, and Biblical teaching geared just for them.

At 10:30am, your kids are led in their own Life Groups.

Preteens learn about and experience Jesus in an environment where they can continue their development and individuality in a safe way.

At 9:00am, your preteens experience The Bridge, a worship and Bible study setting just for them.

At 10:30am, preteens are led in their own Life Groups.

The ministry to children with special needs is a vital part of helping all families find and follow God's plan. We have volunteers available to assist your child in their age appropriate classroom. Pagers are available for parents.

In order to best help your child we ask that you fill out the following registration form prior to your first visit. We would also like to set up a time to give you a tour of the children's area and meet your child before your first visit if possible. This will allow you and your child an opportunity to ask questions and become familiar with a new environment while giving us the opportunity to connect with your family.

You may check-in your child at any available station in our main hallway. After checking in your child, you will receive matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will wear the name tag portion while you keep the matching tag. After the service, you will return to children's pickup area and show your tag to a volunteer for your child to be released back to you.

Your child’s safety is a big priority for us! When you check-in, your child receives a name tag that is matched to a parent-identification number.

Our volunteer Team Members are all screened with an interview and background check, and every hallway is monitored by security personnel.

We believe that church should be fun for people at any age!

Within each setting, we use technology, fun activities, skilled volunteers, and small groups so that children can experience for themselves who God is, how He sees them and how much He loves them.

>We value children’s relationships within the small group setting as they relate to their leader and other kids in the group.

We strive to ensure that each group is led by at least two leaders at all times.

All children's groups are age and gender specific, and as families commit to attending the same service each week, kids are placed in a group of familiar faces where relationships can grow.
